The first time I ever met Albert was when I started dating his daughter Lorna in 2009. I went to their home to pick up Lorna and Albert answered the door, I introduced myself and he proceeded to tell me Lorna was in the shower. Albert invited me in and yelled up the stairs "Lorna, You have a gentleman caller". made me giggle, it was lovely to still see old values at work.
Well Albert must have been comfortable with me, because before Lorna had even come out of the shower he had told me his life story, and went into great detail about the kitchen renovation that didn't go according to plan....or maybe Lorna just had a very long shower.
